Take your bike on vacation wheelbarrow? The

was the crazy idea launched by 2rouesdoudous 2 months ago.

Bet statement, which allowed him to take his cargobike long vacation in the South.

"First and foremost my solution needs to own a car that has a trunk large enough to accommodate the dump wheelbarrow bike (which is large enough to accommodate luggage for two adults and two children for a week). Having a vehicle fitted longitudinal roof bars are also a plus.
I tinkered with 2 support rails bicycle carrier for roof installed approximately parallel to the roof of the car.

must remove the dumpster from cargobike, remove the pedal "bottom" and turn the handlebars parallel to the frame, handles facing "up".
Then you must climb (to get help for this operation and put a blanket on the roof avoids damaging the car) biking wheelbarrow on the roof, bed rest by the carriers in one of the grab rails and the door luggage in the other.
The handlebars are attached to the transverse bar. If the car does not have the bike then rests on the roof, I think it must then provide protection.
Then just secure it to the aid of bungee cords or straps. Be careful when opening the trunk because the bike than behind.

The method was tested on a round trip of 900 miles, no problem.

Some pictures are worth a thousand words I am attaching pictures of the bike once landed on the roof without the attachments. "

Littlest Pet Shop 2010 Advent Calendar

draisienne

children are grown, they now learn to ride a bike.

My advice to succeed this great leap forward, it is especially not to use small wheels, oddly called stabilizers: they tend to tilt the bike ...

First, grab a hobby-horse. It's a bike without pedals, with or without brakes depending on the model. Jules Arthur and call their model "the bike ladybug. With this gear, the child will gradually find its balance in allowing themselves rolling along a gentle slope. Not fall because the seating is very low and feet are always there to restore balance when necessary. After a few
weeks of intensive raids on Wednesdays and weekends, the child has finally found the trick. It makes for Arthur and Jules:

When the child feels ready to go on a bike, the ideal is to have to a small bike (14 inches) with the saddle fully lowered. He will find the thrill of the hobby-horse and may test the pedals at will. We recover
Arthur (4 years old) and Jules (3 years) who cycle as adults:
For the hobby-horse, count about 40 € for a basic model. The brakes are an option which can happen quite easily, but it tends to wear out the shoes ...
For the bicycle 14 inches, it takes about 60 € for a new model. Otherwise, it finds in flea markets for ten euro. The child will use up about 5 years.

Ammonium Sulfate Buffer Range

The fund Capizoze

Following the article about the new 2008 , Capizoze sent me pictures of his DIY Weekend!

The goal is to have a safe easily removable, while piercing the least possible cash cargotrike. Drain holes of water have been put to work to fix battens using thumbscrews. At the end of each bracket are bolted brackets slightly bent inwards on the board which is fixed vertical trunk, it builds up on the bracket that holds the seat.
To complete construction, a small latch that closes with a lock can store two helmets and a small blanket out of sight during an outing in the city center.

Quotes About Butterflies

The cargotrike Corinne

"Cedric and I have acquired a Cargotrike to move our children from 7 years, 6 years and 17 months instead of a second car.

I want to emphasize that the pictures over the internet we had misrepresented the Cargotrike. It is much better in real life! The quality and finish are amazing. On the other hand, we appreciated the greatness of the box in which our children are comfortable. There is even room for some shopping or briefcases.

I measure 1m67 for 52kg and since I have children I have little physical activity (except for mopping the floor!). I immediately felt comfortable with the Cargotrike for its stability. Handling is very good. And secondly, the range of speeds can easily move heavy loads, even uphill. It's amazing, but the climbs do not seem more difficult than with a conventional bicycle. The shifting stationary is very valuable (essential in fact).
.
But the deflection of Cargotrike is more sensitive than a conventional bicycle. It's a little weird at first. Cedric, for his sportsmanship and is always eager for physical performance. He draws the following conclusions:
should not "get into dancer" with a scooter, or trying to go fast, or ride in big holes ... and especially not the three together! Cedric
tested for you with 3 children (70kg): Thanks to the strength of the box and belts, children had nothing, the bike either. But Cedric is passed over Cargotrike and dragged the good bruises for 15 days! "

News from bakfiets.nl

On of bakfiets.nl site you will find some interesting news. I guess rates are high, but it still gives some ideas to "customize" your bike wheelbarrow. For example:

A closed box under the seat of the bicycle wheel barrow: it will store 2 or 3 small things not necessarily expensive (helmet, rain cape, gloves) but who could "fly" when the bike is parked in town.
Another important innovation of collapsible hoops are now available for the protective bubble! When the sky is threatening, we no longer hesitate to take the bull for a walk, row in the trunk beneath the bed of course ...
If you already have the bubble, it is apparently possible to buy only collapsible poles.

For our ass cubs, 2 cushion types: a thick and thin

In association with the system BabyMee Bike, you can set a maxi-cosi to the front to the back of the box, or both!
